...I expected he was going the same way as me - to the coast cycle path - he was. The cyclists are friendly again here (yesterday it was every man for himself - or thats how it seemed). Troy races mountain bikes but goes out on his roady 3 times a week to "mix it up". Amongst other things he confirmed the US is mad about halloween. There is even a night time bike cross race in its honour nearby..and when Haloween is over the Xmas build up begins To be fair its nearly as bad at home. His great grands were from scotland so maybe he'll go over one day. Just before turning round for his back loop he gave me some route advice. Thanks Troy.
I was on a long and wide track at San Ofore state beach and the cycle clubs were all out practicing formation. Soon would come the Marine corp. I had to show my driving licence but as there were loads of other cyclists there was no bother. Surprised they didnt check my bags. Maybe I look an honest fellow - of course I do!
